On November 27, 2024, at 2:30 pm, Prof. Sophia Kidd served as a docent and led members of the Chongqing Women’s Culture Promotion Association and the public to visit the exhibition “Or is it Second Nature” at the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing.

On August 19, 2023, at the opening ceremony of the Chengdu Biennale’s parallel exhibition “Geographies of Feeling,” curator Dr. Sophia Kidd gave a speech of thanks, followed by a preface and a guided tour of the exhibition for the audience.

On August 25, 2023, Dr. Sophia Kidd shared the inspiration and background of the creation of the exhibition “Geographies of Feeling” at Yiwei Books in Chengdu. The exhibition is mainly understood in three aspects: natural geography, cultural geography and perceived geography.
Performance of Labor - A4 Art Museum He Liping's Works Exhibition
In December 2021, Dr. Sophia Kidd initiated a dialogue with Chengdu-based artist He Liping, discussing topics such as He Liping’s creative practice, art and labor: material and immaterial labor, contemporary art discourse in China and the West, and Chinese performance art in Chinese art studies.
Southwest Classical Ecological Aesthetics
In December 2019, Dr. Kang Shuya spoke with 1990 Performance Art Collective members Dai Guangyu and Zhu Gang and Chengdu Up-On International Performance Art Festival co-organizer Zhou Bin about the theory and practice of classical ecology in Southwest performance art in the 1990s.
